Welcome to the Carriage House
The Carriage House is a impeccably decorated Bed and Breakfast in historic Ocean Grove. We have down sized to thirteen rooms. The original Carriage House has been sold to a single family and will function as a residence from now on. We completed our expansion of 17 Embury Ave on 5/1/19, we converted a twenty three room boarding house into a luxurious thirteen rooms with bathrooms and balconies with ocean views from the first and second floors. The house is entirely new construction it was gutted and rebuilt retaining old charm with updated amenities such as central ac. We continued in our tradition of Victorian decor, every item in the house was hand picked, sewn, painted, we have some antiques and some reproductions. . The rooms are beautiful with private bathrooms, TV's and internet connection. 8 of the rooms have balconies of which 5 have oceanviews. The B&B has breathtaking ocean views from the porch and balcony offer a relaxing environment for guests with easy access to the beach in the summer and a short walk or bike ride to adjacent towns. We serve a gourmet breakfast with fresh baked breads and home grown herbs and vegetables from our garden. We have bikes and beach chairs for guests to enjoy. This house was a labor of love and we hope that our guests love and enjoy it as much as we did producing it.
A few years back we had a bad experience with young children miss behaving and made a difficult decision not to allow children under 12. We are hopeful that everyone respects all the hard work we put into each room and will not damage our property so that many future guests can enjoy it for many years to come.
